Due to the mass exodus of several of our PVP members last week, we found ourselves lacking some officers. After long discussion we promoted Ian and Stu to officer status.

Recently we have been talking about teaming up with the guild Corithians.

Due to the lack of people around during summer hols/loss of interest until Lich King, both guild have found themselves with a lack of people geared or present for the 25 man raids. (which I think is amazing since Scions is now the #1 guild in terms of numbers of lv 70s in Nagrand... an impressive 109 at last count) so duly, after many chats and a Kara run with Corri's GL Elerion, we decided to take equal numbers of their best and our best into the lair of King Gronn.

I must say, hats off to Nick(Arathran) and Dave (Elerion) for organising the raid so well, and to everyone else who took pains to turn up on time and be on Teamspeak.

Unfortunately, we failed to bring down the first boss and his four nasty friends, even after something like 12 times of trying. Something seemed to go wrong each time, so we called it. However, towards the end, things were beginning to gel and we were bringing down more of the adds before wiping. I think, if it hadn't been due to tiredness and lack of concentration, we might have done it. Ah well, plenty of time to try again.

BUT, despite the failure, we got along well with Corri. Like us, they seem fairly relaxed and fun to play with. We'll certainly be raiding with them again (if they want to).

We came, we saw, we pwned. After two groups going into UBRS (ubers) to finish off the attunement quests, we finally met up under Nick's picnic umbrella for cucumber sandwiches and oodles of ginger beer, before finally entering the Dragon's Den. (It was at this moment, I wondered if Onyxia might be interested in my new invention - a brussels sprout cleaner and corer, but she flatly refused, and stated firmly that she was out.)

Even with fifteen or so uber-geared lv 70's (or there abouts) Onyxia still has to be brought down the old fashioned way with the correct tactics. We had done our homework and watched the Onyxia Wipe animation on You Tube.

So, with MORE DOTS! MORE DOTS! we brought Onyxia down easily. She was no match for the Scions. This dragon was toast!

Then came the fun part - walking into SW in a proud processional, making all the noobs think 'WTF? them again?' The quest was duly handed in and we stood proudly underneath Onyxia's head for pics.

Proof of our uberness can be seen just inside the gates, on the arch. Go look and tell everyone 'The Scions did that!'

We are starting old world dungeons from this week - Onyxia, Shadowing, Molten Core, etc. Anyone who wishes to come should get the attunement quests done. For info on quest chains, search in wow wiki.
