A new age for Scions.
|
The officers will be making some changes to the way Scions works when Lich King arrives.
The new outlines - or at least our first ideas - are on the forum. Please read it through and feel free to comment or make suggestions.

Arathran gone
|
due to various reasons, personal and in game, Nick has left the guild. He has left a farewell message on the forum (see The Inn).
Obviously, we're sad and shocked to see him go as his time with us was a great time in Scions. He helped us progress further than we ever expected we would. However, all the officers understand his reasons.
So good luck Nick, where ever you go. We'll miss you.
Raids will continue until Lich king comes out, with different leaders, then, with the release of Lich King, we will take a new stock of the situation.

Scions go into BT
|
Last night's raid on BT was called by Nick as he had some awful lag. Poor Nick. (Hope it's better now)
Due to many members being disappointed/keyed up/WANTING to raid, Shortbread took over for the night with Nick's blessing. He eventually got a full raid together, with a couple of guest healers and the very capable Axeldeath from Iluminati as experienced BT raid leader.
To put it bluntly, Veni, vidi, visa (we came, we saw, we did a little shopping).
Naj'entus went down in one. Supremus went down in two and Shade of Akama went down in one. Due to bed times (the younger members) and our later than usual raiding time we had to replace one or two raiders with others (including a very surprised and pleased Knut who didn't believe we were in BT until i went into vent and nagged him) but we did incredibly well. Even Axeldeath said he didn't think we'd do it, but we did. I get the feeling he was a tiny little bit impressed with us.
So, many thanks to everyone who was there. I'm very proud of your dedication even in the face of loss of our usual (very capable) raid leader.
So, when are we downing that bastard in Sunwell? :-)

Vashj Downed!

Scions march on
The scions raiding army goes marching on conquering all in its path. Another great couple of weeks for Scions.
23rd-24th Oct
SSC did not know what hit it as a determined Scions raid blitzed all the bosses including another guild first when we killed Leotheras the blind. A couple of attempts on Lady Vashj proved unsuccessful though.
28th-29th and 3rd Oct
The 28th and 29th were spent killing all bosses up to Vashj and again another 2 attempts on her. She proved a stern challenge and with raid time running out we could not kill her, but this did nothing but strengthen our desire to return and finish the Job. Vashj was quickly becoming guild enemy number one!
Lady Vashj knew we were coming for her. The raid group was fully focused and determined that tonight was the night she was going down. We knew what had to be done.
The fight was tricky, but with well trained core chucking, and excellent kiting and downing of those lethal striders we began phase 3 of the fight with 95% of the raid still up. We all knew we had a brilliant chance from there. We carried on dps’ing her down despite being totally swamped in green toxic pools which lead to raid members dropping down quickly, but a few minutes later, with well over half the raid dead Vashj fell must to the ecstatic delight of all the raid and the ear splitting screams over vent.
Well done to every Scion, from raiders who helped get us here and our much loved social members for all their support. Now we go into our last Burning Crusade raid week with only one man on our minds, Kael’thas Sunstrider!
